Site Design
The way we tackle designing your website generally goes hand-in-hand with our web development — we'll come up with a rough visual idea together and the final look won't be complete until the whole project is. We like this workflow because it allows us to focus on individual components as they're being built and it often allows us to come up with even better ideas that we wouldn't have thought of had we stuck rigidly to a mockup. That doesn't mean we don't create mockups — if you want one, you'll get one.
Your site design will be built using the standard tools of the industry — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; and mockups, logos, and other visual components are designed with Photoshop and Illustrator. If your project requires it, we'll use tools like Sass and Svelte.
Web Development
We've been going at web development for some time, some of us for over 15 years. Our service isn't limited to just installing Wordpress or a static website — we can build it from the ground up if that's what you require. We have experience with a fairly wide variety of web technologies and languages, including Old Reliable (the LAMP stack). Usually, we tend to utilize the following as the foundation for the projects we take on:
HTML 5
Responsive and accessible markup that's immaculately typed.
CSS 3
Progressive stylesheets utilizing the latest standards (with fallbacks if you're targeting obsolete browsers).
JavaScript
Functionally sound and modern JavaScript on the client-side; clean and efficient Node on the server-side.
MongoDB
Because it plays so well with Node.
